What is your background?
My name is Jordan and I am the CEO of Global Opportunity. Previous to this, I attended Sheffield Hallam University where I studied Sports Coaching and Business. Alongside university, I worked in retail and also did warehouse work to support myself. At 21 I decided to expand my career and put myself out there on platforms such as indeed. From this, I was offered an opportunity in the business that I am now in. As I learned about how this industry is performance based, competitive, and has such great opportunity for progression, I knew it was a career I could work hard at and excel in. I went into the business with no real experience, however I was guided, supported and worked my way up to a CEO role where I now continue to grow and expand my company to give others the same opportunity that I was given when I first
What inspired you to start your own business?
Coming from a working class background, I have always had a strong work ethic and have been driven to create my own success. I have always had the goal to work for myself and become my own boss. Finding this industry showed me a way to start from the bottom and progress to a high role through performance and hard work.
What is your 5 year goal for the company?
My goals for the company over the next five years is to grow exponentially with not only quantity but quality in the people who are growing their own business through mine. I plan to promote 5 managers this year who will run their own companies on the back of mine.
What is your favourite aspect of this job?
My favourite aspect of the job is the atmosphere created by the people who work here, along with the opportunity for progression and the support of each person in the workplace.
What advice would you give to a new recruit?
The advice I would give to a new recruit would be to work hard towards each goal, always take accountability for your actions but don’t be afraid of failure along the way. Never stop educating yourself and learn from those around you.
